Goldline started producing Aqua Rite® electronic chlorinators (also known as salt chlorinators) for swimming pools in 1994. These chlorinators use a small amount of salt added to the pool water to automatically generate all of the chlorine needed for pools up to 40,000 gallons. Goldline has actively promoted the numerous benefits of this technology to pool builders in the US and, consequently, almost 50% of all new in-ground pools built in the US in 2004 incorporated an electronic chlorine generator.
